Halco -  Laser Pro 120DD

When the Laser Pro 120 is cast, the weights move to the rear of the lure giving a straight trajectory, and upon retrieval, the weights lock in place back towards the front of the lure. The Laser Pro 120 is famous for its incredible action when using the “rip and stop” technique.

Pull the lure fast through the water using the rod then retrieve the slackline and repeat it again, this will often attract a strike from even the wariest predators.

Use the “rip and stop” technique on the standard version for explosive surface strikes. Note that when the lure stops moving it is pointing slightly left or right with the nose slightly down. It is in the ideal position for immediate and erratic action when ripped. The Laser Pro 120 is also ideal for a slow retrieve with light twitching movement from the rod tip.

Techniques for Fishing:

1. Trolling: The Halco Laser Pro is often used for trolling. Adjust the trolling speed based on the target species and water conditions. Vary the depth by using different sinking versions or adding weight to your line.

2. Jerking and Twitching: When casting, employ a jerking or twitching action during retrieval. Mimic an injured baitfish by giving the lure sudden, erratic movements to trigger predatory instincts.

3. Pause and Drop: After a few steady cranks, pause the retrieval occasionally. This allows the lure to sink momentarily, imitating a wounded fish. Be ready for strikes during the drop.

4. Vary Retrieval Speed: Experiment with different retrieval speeds. Sometimes a fast retrieve can trigger aggressive strikes, while a slower pace might entice more cautious fish.

5. Change Colors: If the bite is slow, try switching to a different color pattern. Fish can be selective, and a color change might make your lure more appealing.

6. Target Structure: Focus on areas with underwater structures like drop-offs, reefs, and submerged vegetation. The Halco Laser Pro is effective at different depths, so adapt your approach based on the structure you're targeting.

Halco Lure Tech

A heap of Halco lures are UV reactant & start humming when the purple light hits them, without affecting their normal appearance.

Bulletproof Bibs

Halco bibs are bloody tough! Made out of the same polycarbonate material as bulletproof glass, our bibs are up for the fight.

Designed to Bleed

The more they chew the better they look! Chrome colours are painted red underneath.

This allows some of our lure colours to glow strongly in the dark, without affecting their normal daytime appearance!
